Yak Safari in Sikkim

Dzongri Lake

At an altitude of 4,200 m, Dzongri is among the best trekking destinations not only in Sikkim but also in India. For visiting Dzongri lake , you have to travel to Yuksom located 6 hours from Gangok.The trek starts from Yuksom located about 6hrs from Gangtok. It ends in Yuksom as well after 5 days. Dzongri trekking would be a lifetime experience.

Tsogmo Lake

Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 3,753 m (12,313 ft), the lake remains frozen during the winter season. The lake surface reflects different colours with change of seasons and is held in great reverence by the local Sikkimese people. Buddhist monks prognosticated after studying the changing colours of the lake.

How To Reach
The only way to reach the lake is through a drive from Gangtok.Bulky vehicles such as Innova, Bolero, and Scorpio are available in rent from Gangtok.You will also get hired taxi to reach Tsomgo Lake from Gangtok.
