Day-wise Itinerary Details

Day 1: Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/ Siliguri Bus Stand to Gangtok

On your arrival at either Bagdogra airport, NJP Railway station, or Siliguri Bus stand our person will receive you as per your respective arrival time and transfer you to Gangtok. It is located at a distance of nearly 123 KM away and almost takes 4-5 hours to reach by road.

On the way, you will also enjoy the beautiful view of river Teesta where one can also enjoy river rafting at their own expense. Post visit, we will move towards Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Visit to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (Nathula Pass Optional)

Post breakfast around 8.30 am to 9 am we will be heading towards Tsomgo Lake and Baba mandir which is the main eye catching tourist attraction in Gangtok. Tsomgo Lake is located at a distance of nearly 42 km away and roughly takes 1.5 hours to reach and again 17 km ahead lies Baba Mandir which takes around 30 minutes to reach.

One can also enjoy cable car ride and yak ride in Tsomgo Lake.

Note: Nathula pass, an Indo-China border is another must see spot which is located at a distance of nearly 17 km from Tsomgo Lake. It’s a restricted permitted area and one needs to inform prior 2 days if they wish to visit here as the permit need to be applied in advance. Nathula pass remains closed on every Monday.

Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen Transfer

Today, after getting the pass we will be heading towards Lachen which is located at a distance of nearly 110 km away from the capital city Gangtok. The road leading to Lachen is quite bad so it will take almost 7 hours to reach there.

Lachen is truly blessed with its serene natural beauty, beautiful landscapes, and majestic mountains. One can enjoy the beautiful view of the nature in the evening.

Day 4: Visit to Gurudongmar Lake & Transfer to Lachung

Today, early morning around 6 am we will start our journey towards Gurudongmar Lake which is located at a distance of nearly 64 km away from Lachen and almost takes 2.5 hours to reach. Gurudongmar Lake is located at an altitude of 17,800 ft that is why it is not convenient to visit this Lake in the afternoon as the place might experience heavy wind flow due to which one might face breathing issues.

Post visit, we will head back to the Lachen’s hotel to have lunch and again post lunch we will move towards Lachung on the very same day. Lachung is almost 50 km away from Lachen and nearly takes 2 hours to reach. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 5: Visit to Yumthang Valley & Transfer to Gangtok

Post breakfast, we will visit Yumthang Valley which is also commonly known as the *Valley of flowers*. Yumthang valley is nearly 25 km away from Lachung village and almost takes 1.5 hour to reach.

One can also visit *Zero point* (optional) where the connectivity of road ends. Post visit, we will head back to the Lachung’s hotel to have lunch. Post lunch we will again head back to the capital city, Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 6: Gangtok to Pelling via Namchi and Ravangla

Today, we will be heading towards Pelling, West Sikkim. It is located at a distance of nearly 108 km away from Gangtok and almost takes 5 hours to reach normally.

On the way, we will also explore some main attraction in Namchi and Ravangla which includes:

  • Chardham, &
  • Buddha Park

Post sightseeing, we will directly move towards Pelling for an overnight stay.

 

Day 7: Pelling Sightseeing

Today around 8 to 8.30 am in the morning we will start from the hotel to explore full day Pelling local sightseeing which includes:

  • Skywalk,
  • Rabdenstse Ruins,
  • Pemayangtse Monastery,
  • Darap Village,
  • Khecheopalri lake,
  • Rimbi waterfalls,
  • Kanchenjunga waterfalls, &
  • Orange garden

Post sightseeing, we will head back to our respective hotel and rest. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 8: Pelling to Darjeeling Transfer

After completing breakfast, we will head towards Darjeeling, West Bengal. It is located at a distance of nearly 69 km away from Pelling and almost takes 3 hours to reach by road.

After freshen up, one can also enjoy Toy Train Ride or roam around the Mall road Darjeeling (on your own).

Day 9: Tiger Hill & Darjeeling Local sightseeing

Early morning at 4 am, our person will receive you from your respective hotel and take you to Tiger Hill to enjoy the mesmerizing sunrise view. It is located nearly 22 km away from Darjeeling city and almost takes 1.5 hours to reach.

Post visit, we will head back to the hotel for breakfast. While heading towards the hotel we will again visit two spots which includes:

  • Ghoom monastery, &
  • Batasia loop

Later, after breakfast around 9 am we will visit reaming sightseeing places which includes:

  • Ropeway,
  • Padmaja naidu Zoological Park,
  • Himalayan mountaineering institute,
  • Tenzing Gumpo rock,
  • Outer view of tea garden,
  • Japanese temple, &
  • Peace pagoda

Post sightseeing, we will drop you at your respective hotel in Darjeeling. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

 

Day 10: Darjeeling to Bagdogra airport (IXB)/New Jalapiguri railway Station (NJP)/Siliguri Bus Stand

On your last day of your Sikkim-Darjeeling trip with *We care Holidays* we will safely escort you to either Bagdogra airport (IXB), New Jalapiguri Railway station (NJP, or Siliguri Bus stand as per your departing point.
