Pelling is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Sikkim and is popular as it offers breathtaking vistas of Mt. Khangchendzonga and other Himalayan peaks. The town comes alive with the annual Pelling Tourism Festival (also known as Kanchenjunga Winter Tourism Festival). It usually takes place during the month of December. The festival offers a window into the rich and the varied cultural heritage of the state, combined with plenty ofadventure activities such as trekking, rockclimbing, paragliding and mountain biking etc.
