Day-wise Itinerary Details
DAY 1 : Arrival and Transfer to Gangtok, East Sikkim
Our representative will be there to receive the Guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – He will be assisting for the transfer to Gangtok – Gangtok the capital of Sikkim Suits all from tranquility to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals & festivals at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet and is the most visited spot of India - It is one of the most beautiful town with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids and butterflies - Nearly 135 kilometers 5-6 hours drive – Check into hotel – Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.
DAY 2 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake/New Baba Mandir ( Nathula pass Optional for extra )
Morning breakfast at hotel – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers and 2 hours drive along the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, the home to the red panda and the blood pheasant with Rhododendron and other alpine trees along the road - Situated at an elevation of 3753 meters / 12310 feet - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - Generally covered in snow for most of the year the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all - Back to Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.
DAY 3 : Gangtok to Lachen, North Sikkim
After breakfast drive to Lachen in North Sikkim (Alt 9175Ft / 2750M). On the way visit Singhik, Seven Sister Water Falls, Chungthang Confluence. Check in at hotel. Free evening and Overnight at Lachen.
DAY 4 ): Lachen to Thangu Valley and Gurudongmar Lake ( Kalapathar optional for extra charges )
Early morning drive to Thangu Village (Alt 13625Ft / 4100M), a remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads and a drive for another 30kms in 1.5hr to Gurudongmar Lake (Alt 17375Ft / 5225M) close to Tibet Border, the one of the Highest and biggest fresh water lakes in Sikkim. Back to Lachen for Lunch. Lachen to Lachung, 50kms in 2.5hrs – Check out from Lachen and drive further to Lachung (Alt 8075Ft / 2425M) via Chungthang. En route visit Chungthang Confluence and Vimnala Water Falls. Check in at hotel. Free evening. Overnight at Lachung.
DAY 5 : Sight Seeing at Yumthang Valley (Zero Point optional for extra charges ) & Transfer to Gangtok
After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet - Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn later visit Yumesamdong locally known as Zero Point & return to resort at Lachung for Lunch - Back to Gangtok - Over Night stay at Gangtok.
DAY 6 :Transfer to Pelling, West Sikkim
After breakfast at Hotel then transfer to Pelling – A drive of 140 kilometers 5-6 hours through scenic road – Check in to the hotel – Pelling is situated at an altitude of 2072 meters / 6800 feet - On a clear day guest can get a clear view of Himalayan range with snow capped mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu etc - It is one of the exotic settlement with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids, historical sites, short trek routes and wildlife – Its botanical and zoological richness is inspiring and the scenic view from the top of the ridge across deep valley to the heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something to be seen to be believed .Check into hotel - Evening free to roam around the small settlement - Over Night stay at Pelling.
DAY 7 : Pelling Local sightseeing (Full Day)
After breakfast at hotel – Drive for Full Day Sight Seeing. Full day sight seeing which includes Pemayangtse Monastery,Hike towards Rabdentse ruins, Bird Scantuary ,Rimbi Water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake, Darap Village & Glass Skywalk - Over Night stay at Pelling.
DAY 8 : Departure
After breakfast transfer to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) - Nearly 145 kilometers 5 -6 hours drive – Forwarding Journey.
Tour ends at Siliguri/NJP Station or Bagdogra Airport
